Subscribers saving in NPS can deposit money online in Tier-1 and Tier-2 Accounts.

Subscribers saving in the National Pension System (NPS) can deposit money online in Tier-1 or Tier-2 accounts. If they do not have accounts, they can still use this facility through e-NPS.

If you have a PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number), then you can deposit money in the NPS account through the steps given below.

  • Go to ENPS page and click on Contribution. A form will open in front of you.

  • Enter your PRAN and date of birth in this form. OTP will be sent to you for verification.

  • After OTP verification on registered mobile number and email, you can add money to your Tier I or Tier II account.

  • You can pay by debit card, credit card or internet banking.

  • 0.05% of your contribution amount (Rs. 5 to 5,000) will be deducted as service charge.
Keep in mind that if you are taking advantage of NPS Lite or Atal Pension Yojana, then you will not be able to make contribution through e-NPS. At the same time, your Tier-1 or Tier-2 account must be active in order to make a contribution.
