Government has allowed to export 6 million tonnes of sugar

     The cabinet of the Narendra Modi government held an important meeting on Wednesday. After the meeting ended on Wednesday evening, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar gave information about the decisions of the cabinet. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal was also present in it. Who spoke about cabinet decisions related to industry and FDI.

     75 new medical colleges will be opened with an investment of 24375 crores. The government plans to open medical colleges in districts where there were no medical colleges yet. These colleges will have 15700 seats. Javadekar said that the villagers would benefit from the new medical facilities.

     The government has allowed to export 6 million tonnes of sugar. The government has announced a subsidy of Rs 6268 crore for exports.

     The subsidy money received from the farmers will go to the farmers' account.

     100% FDI is allowed in coal mining. 100% FDI allowed in other areas of coal mining as well.

     The government has given relief in terms of single brand retail. Till now 30% was the condition of local sourcing, which has now been relaxed. Previously, no foreign company could open an online store unless they fulfill 30% local sourcing condition and open an offline store. It is not so now. Now the company can open the first online store, fulfilling the condition of 30% local sourcing. This will reduce their store opening expenses. Export was also linked to local sourcing.

     26 per cent FDI has been allowed in digital media. Till now only 26% FDI was allowed in TV and newspaper.

    100% FDI approval in contract manufacturing.
